Lots of Big Sky Montana viewing today. Was along the Missouri River, later the Milk, lakes, lots of flat fields, some oil wells, some scrub brush. Very few livestock but did see a few deer and hunters.

Havre area. James J. Hill from Great Northern Railway brought in villages of European immigrants free ride and lumber to build homes, 160 acres free land. They needed about 2400 acres to make a living. We passed lots of acres of wheat headed for China
Glacier Park at dusk a total change in geography.
An Alaskan sheep shot by a couple brothers from Whitefish in 1911 and donated to the Whitefish library now at the train depot.
