2016.09.23 Empire Builder to St Paul, MN

Went through Glacier And Flathead County and Glacier Park while we were eating breakfast. 


Got out at Whitefish, MT to walk down to see the private cars withe the rainbow.

2016.09.22 Spokane, Davenport Hotel, AAPRCO Banquet

Linda and Sandy got MoHo started and on their way back home. Got to swim and pack. 

Rick elected to AAPRCO Board. Attended his first meeting. Part of the duties include dancing with his wife according to Dave Rohr. 
Adlake Company that makes pull down blinds for rail cars. We need these. 
Moved our bags to the Wolff room. Final pictures of hotel which is one of the nicest EVER. 




Looking at interior seating area from 2nd floor. Fountain in the middle like Peabody in Memohis minus the ducks. 

Walked to steam plant:
Looking up to top of one of steam pipes.
 Changed into offices, restaurant and pub. Floor from above. 
Walked down to Riverfront Parkwith Liz, John, Mark, Debbie to ride the gondola and eat at Anthony's.  Artwork under bridge.

Spokane Falls:

Muddled Huckleberry Lemonade Vodka drink with lunch at Anthony's. 
Banquet: John Liz Monhoff, Mark Debbie Wolff. 
  Karen and Ed Donnley and UNk. 
 Our local family wine -29th Vinyard in the state of Washington. 
Dessert-chocolate and Raspberries. 
Ended the night dancing the night away. Then took hotel shuttle to station to catch Empire Builder which will have a lot of private cars behind.

2016.09.21 Dry Falls, Grand Coulee, Fairchild AFB, AAPRCO Car Party

Today up early to go to Grand Coulee Dam. Traveled along water but didn't see many boaters. 


 Stopped first at the Dry Falls where it was when the Missoula Glacial Lake flooded was the highest and longest falls in the world. 

Big round holes caused by boulders rolling around in circles.

Grand Coulee Dam. Got lunch at a deli from a grocery store before catching 2 pm tour 28 people max.

 Guided tour on top the Dam. Linda, Sandy, Debbie, Mark, Joanne, Rick. 
Two 14 passenger tour busses. Top of dam closed on 911. 
 Lake side of dam. 
Me and sister Linda. 
 
Dam pumps water for irrigation canals and provides electricity for 11 western states, Alberta, B. C. 
Stop at Fairchild Airfoece Base to see SAC Simulator Cars for training.

Then Car party finale at Dearing with sweaty balls and Texas Milk shakes.
