July 11th we took off for Columbus, OH - spent the first night in Danville, Illinois on the boarder of Indiana - time zone change from Central to Eastern. Made it to Rick's niece Shelby and husband Alec's wedding reception at the Gallery at the Champions Golf Club. Had a good time dancing. All of her family was there to help celebrate. We stayed with Tom, Dana and Dean, and took Dean to the Marysville Cemetery Section F to pay respects.

Left on Sunday and stopped in Dayton at the historic sites of writer Paul Lawrence Dunbar's home and then to the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop and Heritage Museum.
Paul Lawrence Dunbar's final home he died in his 30s. I did not realize that he wrote the words "I know what the caged bird feels, alas! I know why the caged bird sings!" from poem "Sympathy" - I have always associated those with Maya Angelou.
The office of Paul Lawrence Dunbar 2nd story of his home.
The Wright Cycle Company - about their 3rd out of four locations. Across the plaza is the museum about avaiation. Their workbench below.
The Wrights used a lot of their bicycle technology in the design of their airplane.
In the aviation museum across the plaza they had a replica of the first flight plane - it had a hip saddle that was used to turn the plane. There was also a great exhibit about the development of the silk parachute at a base near Dayton and the first successful use of it, and the survivor who became the original member of the caterpiller club of parachute survivors.
